Christmas is almost here, but don't miss out on the autumn by skipping to December in a rush. We still have a few more days of November left, so here are some autumnal recipes to keep you fed until Christmas arrives!
Pumpkin is a staple during the run up to Halloween, but who says we have the throw them out straight away afterwards? This is a quick and delicious way to keep the autumn spirit alive in the house! Eat them at home or on the go, morning or evening and share them with whoever is around (which is basically everyone at the moment). Check out a great pumpkin muffin recipe here.
Apple & Blackberry Crumble
Crumble is by far the most autumnal dessert I could think of. When making this recipe, the second best thing about it (the first being the taste), was the colour that the blackberries created. There is nothing more comforting on a cold autumn day than eating a warming crumble. Plus, it only take about an hour of your time! Check out my recipe for apple & blackberry crumble here.
I hate to brag, but my Grandmother makes the best chicken pie! So, for me it has been one of the best foods to have in the autumn forever. The best thing about this recipe, is that you can make it however way you like. Add in anything you please and you will still get a delicious meal. Yes, it may take a bit more time than usual, but the outcome will surely be worth it. Take a look at a fab chicken pie recipe here.
Basically, just an apple crumble....but on a cake! Perfect for a cosy autumn day in with a cup of tea, these little cakes are so delicious! Apples and cinnamon together make the whole house smell like an autumn dream and they taste like one too. If you aren't one for crumble, then this is the way to go with a great alternative.
