Baking Inspiration

For many of us, like me, getting creative in the kitchen is just something we do regularly. However, I've realised (after going shopping and seeing that almost everything to do with baking was gone), that lots more people are passing the time by cooking up delicious treats. So, I thought I'd share with you some of the best desserts to make during this time:

One of the best inventions of all time is peanut butter paired with chocolate! Obviously, the Reese's version is amazing, but why not try creating your own? Such a simple recipe of just melted chocolate, peanut butter and sugar (including any additions you like), this is the perfect treat to keep you going. One of the yummiest and easiest recipes to follow is the 'Tasty' version.

This one is pretty girly, but super delicious! Some say this is boring, but I think that vanilla is an underrated flavour. This scrumptious vanilla cake is so easy to eat and will not make you feel ill afterwards! The colour doesn't have to be pink, it can be anything you like. Just because you may think vanilla is a boring flavour, doesn't mean your cake has to look boring.

I absolutely cannot explain to you how good this is! A definite fan favourite for everyone who has tried it, this cake is super chocolaty and has an amazing contrast between the milk and white chocolate, not only in decoration but in taste. For anyone having a bad day, this yummy chocolaty dessert will be sure to put a smile on your face and anyone who's around you too.

4. Star Cupcakes

Similar to the pink cake, these cupcakes are vanilla flavoured, and taste just as good as they look. After looking for inspiration in cookbooks, I saw these super cute star cupcakes in the 'Tanya Bakes' book by Tanya Burr. It is just a simple cupcake recipe, but they taste divine and look magical with their star decorations and sparkly gold glitter sprinkles on top.

Last, but certainly not least, this chocolate orange cheesecake is one of the most delicious things to ever have been made! For anyone out there who likes 'Terry's Chocolate Orange', this cheesecake tastes just like it and more. The biscuit base combined with the heavenly filling, there is no going wrong making this yummy dessert loved by all.
