For all my vegan friends, finding delicious snacks for you to enjoy can often be a difficult task, but fear not, I've got some tasty bites that you are going to love! When people find out you're vegan, the common assumption is that all you eat are boring and bland foods, but this is certainly not the case. There are lots of interesting and exciting dishes you can enjoy that are vegan.
Now that becoming Vegan is becoming increasingly more popular, there are new recipes that you can try. Whether you have turned vegan for health reasons, for animals, or for the planet, you should still be able to enjoy a yummy snack. These snack ideas are great for when you get those daily hunger feelings between meals, and they are so simple to make.
1. Topped Rice Cakes
Such a simple thing to try, you can buy rice cakes at any store and top them with all the delicious vegan treats you can find. If you're like me, then you probably get bored of doing/eating the same thing. Luckily, with this delight, you can mix and match whatever toppings you desire! Some of my favourites are, hummus and cucumber, jam and dried coconut flakes and vegan yoghurt and blueberries. What's great about this snack is that you can make it sweet or savory to have at any time of the day.
2. Pan-Cooked Cinnamon Bananas
Eating a banana is, of course, a very healthy snack, but try making it a bit more exciting by adding some sweet cinnamon sugar to the mix. Cut your banana into slices, coat the slices with cinnamon sugar, using coconut sugar to make sure it's vegan, then simply pan-fry them until warm. This is an easy and tasty snack that everyone is sure to love, no matter how old or how vegan. Just follow the simple steps and enjoy your special snack time.
3. Fruit and Nut Butter
This is definitely the most straightforward snack of the lot, but that doesn't mean that it's not as effective. A super healthy snack, which includes minerals, vitamins and fiber from the fruit, as well as protein from the nut butter. Obviously, we are all familiar with peanut butter, but lets not forget that there are lots of different types of nut butter to buy, including almond and cashew butter. Some of the best combinations to try are; apples and peanut butter and bananas and almond butter.
