How To Feel Empowered

In times when we feel like we have lost our control and our world has been turned upside down, it is only natural to feel self-doubt and unempowered. However, everyone feels this way at some point in their lives. It is all about how we pick ourselves back up and bring that empowering energy back.

Affirmations

Everyone has negative thoughts come into their brains daily, it's only human. One way that you can fight those thoughts is by incorporating positive affirmations into your day. Having something like a quote jar or quote book that you can look in everyday and keep in your mind to challenge the negativity is a great way to bring back your power. Once you hear it enough, you will start to believe it is true.


Have a Goal

No matter how big or small it is, have a goal to work towards that you know will bring back your power. It might be to become more of a leader at work, or to have more of a say in your family. Whatever it may be, work towards it, especially in those times when you feel the most down, that is when you know that a change must be done. Remember, baby steps are ok!


Be Thankful

One of the reasons why we sometimes experience a loss in power, is because we believe that there in nothing in our lives that makes us happy. Every morning when you wake up, or when you go to bed, think of one thing that you are grateful for. Knowing that there is something in our lives that brings us joy is just another way of saying to the universe, 'No matter what's going on in my life, I still have this'.


Exercise

Yes, exercise is always a point on a list that people just gloss over, but there is a very good reason why it is on this list. They always say that happiness starts from within, however, sometimes that can be really difficult. By looking after your outside, you will start to feel better about yourself, which will in turn, lead you to become more empowered on the inside. Feel good about yourself, feel good about your mind.


Get To Know Yourself

We are constantly changing and evolving throughout our lives and sometimes we can experience self-doubt. As I said before, this is only natural, but dig deep within yourself to find what works for you to pull yourself out of your funk. You are the only person in the world that you are guaranteed to be with forever, don't treat yourself badly. Understand the person you are and never be ashamed about who you find.
