Stop Thinking About Being 'Perfect'

Somehow, throughout the years, we began to think of a certain body type as being 'perfect'. We all know the one, and we constantly put ourselves down thinking we don't look right. However, I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, looking like that 'perfect' image we have inside our heads, isn't going to make you any happier. Happiness comes from within and accepting yourself as you are.


Be Proud Of Your Body

Among all of the negativity surrounding the way people see themselves and their bodies, there is one thing many people leave out, our bodies are freaking awesome! They get us around everyday to wherever we want to go, they tell us when they're not feeling good or when they're hungry, and to my ladies out there, they let us have one of the most precious things in the world, children. So if they do all of that, and more, for us, than the least we can do is love them.


Find Exercise That's Right For You

Everyone should be getting in some exercise everyday, although, it doesn't have to be for weight loss. One of the best ways to exercise, is to do it to become stronger and healthier, and lucky for us, there are so many different ways to do this. All of our bodies are different, so we'd be crazy to think that one form of exercise fits all. Try lots of different things and soon enough you'll find the one that works for you.


Don't Have Off-Limit Food

I'm going to be completely honest, for so long I didn't let myself eat anything that I wanted, not even when out with friends, and it is miserable. Now one of my mottos is 'everything is moderation'. We all know we shouldn't be eating chocolate bars all day every day, but if it is something you really crave and want, don't be mean to and allow yourself to have it. Life's too short to be the reason you're hungry.


Think Of Yourself As A Friend

Next time you are super hungry and tell yourself you shouldn't eat, ask yourself, would you say that to your friend? I bet the answer is no (unless you are like a super bad friend). Sometimes following your own advice is really hard but the reason you give it is to help people, so why not help you? Treat yourself like your best friend because at the end of the day, you are the person you've got to be forever.
