Weirdly enough, this lockdown is somehow a little bit harder than the last. During our first, we didn't really know what was happening or how bad it could actually be, but with this one, we are fully aware that it sucks! Luckily, Netflix is the friend that is always part of our household! Here are a few TV shows to help you get through this month.
The show started in 2012, however it wasn't until a couple of months ago when I started watching it and OMG it is so good. It is definitely more of a girly show (I mean it is called New Girl) but there is still a character in it for everyone. I know when it comes to this show I am a little behind (I haven't even finished it yet) but if you haven't seen it, you must. Side note - be prepared to fall in love with Schmidt!
Dead To Me
This is a show that hasn't gotten the credit it deserves. It is unlike any show I have ever watched, yet somehow kept me hooked. It is about two women who start an unlikely friendship based on a secret one of them is keeping. This is a great show to start in the autumn as it is dark and mysterious. Starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, this is a show that will surprise you. Side note - nothing is as it seems.
Obviously, so many people have watched this show, but it only recently came onto Netflix this year. So, even if you have seen it before, watch it again, because no matter how many times you have seen Modern Family, it is still hilarious! Just on the off chance you haven't watched it yet, it is about one big diverse family, that get up to all kinds of hilarious relatable things. Side note - there are 11 seasons to get through, so start watching.
American Horror Story
Halloween may be over, but it is never too late for a good scare! When writing this list, I wanted to include shows that have quite a few seasons to make sure no one gets bored during this second lockdown and AHS doesn't disappoint. With 9 seasons, each with a completely different storyline and characters, be prepared to get scared yet compelled to carry on watching. Side note - get ready because whatever your greatest fear is, it will be included on this show.
I watched Hollywood during the first lockdown earlier this year when it came out and thought it would be a good time to walk down quarantine memory lane and give it a rewatch. For anyone who loves the glamour of old Hollywood and also exploring the harsh realities of what it was like to live in those times, you must watch this show. Side note - it includes one of the best looking casts out there!
