Having a daily check-in with yourself is never a waste of time, and having a few questions to ask can help to figure out how you're feeling. There isn't a right or wrong answer to any of these questions, as long as you're happy.
1. Am I Worrying Too Much About What Other People Think?
Having an idea in your head about what others think about you isn't a bad thing, but when it stops you from being yourself, ask if it has now become a problem. People tell me often that they're worried others think that they are 'weird', and as I tell them, at the end of the day, the people who matter in your life, are the ones who like you for you and will never think you're 'weird'.
2. How Do I Like To Have Fun?
Doing something fun is a vital part of life and knowing how to let yourself relax and enjoy living is a great tool. There are so many different ways that we each unwind and have fun, and not knowing specifically yet what you like is a perfect way to start trying new things. Go out and try a new class, or go to a new restaurant with your friends, anything to let you have an amazing time.
3. What Matters The Most In My Life?
One of my favourite things to remind myself daily is that it is my life and I should live it the way I want. Living the life that you deserve starts with making sure that you know the most important parts of it. Cutting out toxicity in your life is something people talk about often, but if you flip that, and think about keeping the best parts you'll realise the most important things to you.
4. Do I Love Myself?
Even now, it's crazy how many people don't like themselves. Obviously, we all have something about ourselves that we don't like, whether it's a personality trait we wish to change or a part of our body we hate. However, if we don't love ourselves, how will anyone else? That part of you that you don't like, is going to the part that someone else is going to love the most.
5. What Am I Most Proud Of?
Every once in a while, take a look back at your life so far and think about all the things you've done that you are proud of. There is no shame in taking some time to think about how awesome you are and how many things you have achieved, because it is all of those things that you have done, good or bad, that make you the person you are today.
