Self-Care Questions

Last week we explored questions all to do with self-growth. Now we are on to self-care. Working out how you would like to grow as a person is such a wonderful thing to do, however, all that reflecting can sometimes cause you to stress more. When this happens, it is time to switch to asking yourself some self-care questions. Taking some time to look after yourself is so important to your overall wellbeing. Here are some questions to ask when you need some self-love.

What are some thoughts you've had about yourself recently?

As you reflect on your life, you can't help but think about all the areas that you would like to improve on. The important thing to remember is to be kind to yourself. Don't put too much pressure on yourself, and think thoughts of compassion when looking at your life. Remember all of the good things you've got going for you, instead of focussing on all the negatives.

What are the positives of your life?

As mentioned above, it's only natural to focus on all the things that you believe are wrong about your life, but what if you took some time to think about the things that are going right? List at least five things that you absolutely love about yourself and your life! Spend one whole day where you don't allow yourself to think negative thoughts about yourself and instead live life to be happy.

What are your expectations for yourself?

Finally, this questions is very important, as we all have expectations for ourselves. The thing to think about is, are your expectations too high? Are you putting too much pressure on yourself? It's great to have an idea of what you want your life to look like, but don't forget to enjoy the moments in between goals. Trust the process of life, and put effort into areas you know you can change.
